About Us
Dominique King, DNP, PMHNP -BC
Hi, I’m Dominique King, a doctorally prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner raised on the east side of Oahu. I completed both my Doctor of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Hawai‘i Pacific University. I bring over 13 years of nursing experience across addiction treatment, community health, acute medical settings, and outpatient therapy.
My passion for mental health comes from both my professional work and personal understanding of how deeply addiction and emotional pain can affect individuals and family systems. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, and how essential support, compassion, and understanding are in the healing process. These experiences guide me to approach care with humility, respect, and a genuine belief in each person’s ability to heal from within.
As a mother of three, I understand the challenges of balancing personal well‑being with the demands of parenting, relationships, and work. This lived experience allows me to connect with patients in a real and meaningful way—offering empathy while still providing clinical clarity and direction.
I specialize in supporting adults navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, parenting stress, and major life transitions. My style is warm, direct, and holistic, blending therapeutic approaches with medication management when appropriate. I strive to create a safe, judgment‑free space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence.
My goal is to help you feel grounded, supported, and empowered as you work toward healing and emotional balance.
